Unbelievably lightweight yet you can tell sturdily made. This chair "should" last a while. And it better at these prices. It was super easy to assemble (took ~30 seconds first time I tried it). The poles basically assemble themselves and then all that is required by us is to pull the mesh part over the pole ends. The last one is the one that requires some effort to stretch the fabric. But it only requires moderate effort. I'm happy with the weight and ease of assembly and disassembly.The chair width is narrow. I'm 145 lbs and my bum just fits into the seat. If you're larger, perhaps their wider Playa chair would be for you. In fact, it would probably be for me - but I prefer the mesh style for the beach so I'll keep this one. The head rest is not comfortable without a pillow, but they've attached velcro to the bag so we can throw our towel inside it and make a pillow. Once you do this, resting your head is super comfortable. I haven't yet figured out why they include velcro on the backside of the chair (or why the bag velcro is a different shape/direction than on the chair). Nevertheless it works well as is.One thing to note - the specs claim the bag is 23" once packed. It is true that the bag is 23" but once you put the chair inside it only takes up ~18" so you can scrunch the bag and fit inside a knapsack that is 18" long. Perhaps the extra 5" of space in the carry bag is meant for add'l item storage, but personally I'd prefer to see a smaller carry bag or a larger one (since the bag has no room for a beach towel even with the extra 5" of space).I love Helinox chairs and I suggest only buying "summer" mesh ones like this beach one. You can get summer kits for the bigger chairs too (I have the Sunset and got the kit plus a Sunset that came with the summer mesh...if you don't have the mesh the water sits in them if they get wet and if it's cold you can always throw a blanket down first). As far as this beach chair, it's quite comfortable and I like that it's low so it is good for movies outdoors or the beach or anywhere you don't want to block people's view. I also like that it's low because as comfortable as my Sunset chairs are, I usually end up with a stool in front of me to put my feet up on. With the Beach, you are low enough you can just stretch your legs out. All Helinox chairs fold up small and quickly and I love that.I took off one star because of the price. The cupholder and inflatable pillow options are separate and add another $45 to the cost if you want them both. I think when the chair is already MSRP $159.95 (currently on Helinox site) adding another $11.95 for a cupholder (which I really like to have) and $34.95 for a pillow (or $44.95 if you want some foam in there) is asking a lot. I have one inflatable pillow for my three Helinox chairs and I like it but I am just stuffing the chair sacks with clothes for the other two.I definitely recommend this beach chair with mesh and suggest waiting for a sale.It’s not a terribly comfortable chair but it’s sturdy and lightweight, and easy to set up and break down. There are no arm rests and I have a bad back. This chair doesn’t make my back feel better. I don’t anted to love this chair. Especially for the price but it’s not quite what I was hoping for. Probably better for a younger person with no back issues.I ordered this chair because it was so compact it could be transported in my suitcase and has a high back. The chair was so simple to put together. I read no instructions and had it assembled in less than 1 minute. I sat in it and it seems extremely sturdy(coming from someone that's 5'4" and 240 lb.). As soon as I sat in it I could tell I was going to need a pillow if I wanted to sit up and not be reclined, no big deal. I haven't taken it on the beach yet so I don't know how it will hold up after multiple uses. But, I did want to note that the bag the chair came in was already opened and as soon as I unrolled the chair I saw dog hair stuck to the fabric and velcro of it...so...I'm worried I got a RETURNED product. Makes me wonder why the first person returned it in the first place. I hope I didn't just pay $150 for a used chair that's going to fall apart on me during vacation. Shame on the sender.I bought this chair for fishing from the shore. It was exactly what I was looking for in a chair. It is lightweight and packs small, easy to set up, and very comfortable. The mesh allows air thru which is perfect when it is hot. No more sweaty back and butt from your chair!Expensive but well worth it. Great for the beach and easy & quick to put together.Strong, light, very comfortable and easy to set up. I will walk several miles at the park just carrying this on my shoulder and then will stop and set it up to relax. My kids laugh, but I call it my Park chair.
